Whether you are wearing jeans or a dress, during the middle of the night or the wee hours of the morning, you can get married in Las Vegas. Although there are some wedding operations here that are quite bogus, there are also legitimate ones that could actually get you legally married with little to no preparations.
Sure, going nontraditional for your wedding might save you money, especially if the only persons attending would be you and your partner. However, some of these weddings will actually cost you an arm and a leg. An underwater wedding or a hot air balloon wedding can cost just as much as a traditional wedding, if you account for the number of people that can attend. However, if you think that nontraditional is what suits your and your partner's tastes, then don't let relatives and friends stop you from doing it. In the end, what is important is how you spent your wedding day and not what others think about it.
